Which VPN’s allow the most simultaneously Connected Devices?

One of the most valuable features of great VPN’s (and often the most overlooked) is if the VPN provider allows a high number of simultaneous VPN connections (more than 2). This is extremely valuable if you have multiple devices that you want to connect to the VPN servers simultaneously, you want to share the VPN plan with a family or business, or even share with a friend.

Most VPN providers offer 1-2 simultaneous connections, which allows you to do more than protect a mobile device and one computer at the same time. It’s certainly not enough to share.

We found a few VPN’s that allow more users to share the VPN at once:

Private Internet Access (5 Connections)

Private Internet Access (one of our highest rated VPN’s) allows an incredible 5 simultaneous connections to their VPN network under 1 account. This is more than an enough to share with an entire family or small business. Amazingly PIA only costs $3.33/month with a 1 year plan. If you split that with 5 people, that’s only $.67 cents!

Private Internet Access offers a ton of impressive features at very low cost. Here are the highlights:

  • 256-bit Encryption (Military Grade)
  • 5 Simultaneous Connections
  • Mobile Device Protection Included
  • Easy to use desktop VPN software
  • Free proxy service included
  • VPN Kill-Switch
  • DNS Leak Protection
  • Torrents Allowed
  • $3.33-$6.95/month

PureVPN (5 Simultaneous Connections)

PureVPN is another great option. They also allow 5 connections at once, so you can protect your entire home network of devices individually.

PureVPN offers a number of innovative software features that other VPN’s don’t like split-tunneling which allows you to route specific programs outside of the VPN tunnel if you wish.

PureVPN is one of the fastest VPN’s we’ve tested, and their software is very impressive. They offer 4 VPN protocols, including SSTP ‘Stealth’ VPN technology which is much harder to detect and is useful for bypassing cencorship and firewalls. Check out our in-depth PureVPN Review for more info.

Cactus VPN (Unlimited Connections?)

CactusVPN has a pretty unique policy when it comes to simultaneous connections. Though they don’t allow you to connect to the same VPN server multiple times, you can open connections to as many different VPN servers as you want simultaneously. So technically, you’re number of simultaneous connections is limited only by the number of server locations (which is currently 14).

Cactus VPN also offers a free trial option so you can decide if their VPN service is a good fit before you buy.

Conclusion:

As you can see, the list of generous VPN providers when it comes to simultaneous connections is pretty small. The vast majority of VPN’s (around 80%) offer exactly 2 connections at once, so if that’s all you need, any VPN provider should work for you.

We will continue to add to this list as VPN competition increases and some VPN providers decide to offer their users more features. We also highly recommend reading our article on the most important factors when choosing a vpn. Also if you feel like sharing our content we’d really appreciate it!
